In 2017 Boris decides to take different musical direction. After a year of focused studio work Boris Smith is born. Collaborations with Girls Love DJs, Sander Kleinenberg, La Fuente, Mia More and Goodluck follow and he is now sharing his new sounds with the world. His swinging collab “Be Yourself” with South-African formation Goodluck was one of the summer hits in 2018 and pick of the week on 3FM. As a result Radio 3FM chose Boris as 3FM talent in May.
In 2019 Boris again tops the charts with ‘Cada Vez’ being played frequently at European radio stations. With Spain, Belgium, France, Italy and The Netherlands leading. Solar, Amsterdam Open Air, Summer Festival, Pacha Ibiza, Escape, Ushuaia, Dauwpop Festival are just a couple shows in the past festival season. In the coming months hitting the decks at Broodrooster, Clubbing, Next and several ADE events!
Plenary Closing Session with Chagall, Lucas de Man, Kees Dorst, Christian Bason & MINDF*CK
Join the CWF2019 Closing Session and be inspired by changemakers Lucas de Man, Kees Dorst and Christian Bason. They will connect the world, be the helicopter and challenge you to take a look at the world from your own perspective. Did we make a system change? Can we see the world as an ecology, a coherent whole? What will be the challenges of the future?
Next to that, Chagall’s live performance will offer you an exclusive sneak preview of the motion capture suit she is developing to control her electronic music and VR visuals in real-time using the movement of her body. And last but not least: Famous Dutch illusionist Victor Mids will close the Creativity World Forum 2019 by mindf***ing us all on Changing the Inevitable!
“Music = communication.
Music is not merely entertainment like a whole industry would like us to believe. Our brains themselves are musical, and music has been important to the evolution of mankind for 100.000s of years.
Music connects and music bonds, it is THE language of emotions.
Now, we have a song that gives a voice, a sound, to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). Let music tell the message that needs to be heard so urgently. We need change!” – Erwin Steijlen
The Sustainable Development Goals aim to provide a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. From local to global, east to west, south to north. The Power of Music will contribute to this. Music puts all of us in motion, its rhythm and meaning is universally understood.
The Creativity World Forum addresses all 17 SDG’s and composer Erwin Steijlen translated 7 of these goals into music, into a song. Would you like to hear what the SDG’s of the United Nations sound like? Do you want to know how goals and words can be translated into music? Then come and listen to our SDG band of10 international top musicians, each with highly impressive track records.
