Maureen Prins: Bringing unseen films to unusual places

Films are made to be seen, they inspire, spark off conversation, they make you think. In this session Maureen Prins will tell you more about her mission to bring unseen films to unusual places with her mobile solar powered cinemas that bring unseen films to unusual places. Solar World Cinema is an initiative of three female cultural entrepreneurs who stimulate and support other cultural entrepreneurs from all over the world, that want to set up a solar powered mobile cinema.

Since 2009 Solar World Cinema has advised and guided ten cultural entrepreneurs from around the globe in the set up of their own business. Several aspiring others are developing their own Solar Cinema business. Together they attract around hundred thousand viewers per year to our film screenings covering all continents of the world. And the joined network consists of a very diverse group of international cultural organisations.
