Creative Guru and host on the Cao & Chao Show
Milo Chao was the China Chief Strategy Officer at TBWA, one of the most creative advertising agencies in the world, when a question occurred to him, “what can China teach the world about creativity?” A curious question given most believe China is a country of copiers, not creators. And so began his journey to uncover the nature and nurture of creativity in China. He started interviewing famous Chinese creators and even started a podcast to bring people along. This quickly expanded to include renowned creators in the US to add diversity to the conversation. Presently, Milo is on a mission to bring creative inspiration to China and Chinese creativity to the world. Why? Is there anything more nourishing for creativity than the interplay of ideas and cultures?
Milo will give a talk on the subject of creativity in China. He will examine cultural forces that both compel it forward and hold it back. He will also share his observations from the more than 40 biographical interviews he’s conducted with highly accomplished creators in China.
