Toine Timmermans is Director of the foundation Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling (Food Waste Free United), and program manager at Wageningen University and Research. He has coordinated several National, European and global project with the focus on creating a more responsible and sustainable food system, by reducing food losses and waste across the supply chain. Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling has the ambition to make the Netherlands, in a joint effort, one of the first countries to cut food waste in half. And make the Netherlands a leader and a global role model in terms or realizing Sustainable Development Goal 12.3.
